Project registration

Here you will find information and instructions on how to register projects for DGNB Certification.

The certification process is handled by DGNB GmbH, a fully-owned subsidiary of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB e.V.) based in Stuttgart. Through DGNB Certification, you expand your know-how in terms of sustainability and consistently bring your brand to the forefront. You can also benefit from the high level of attention your project receives as a result of certification.

Since the DGNB System Software Update V2.8, project registration has been carried out in the DGNB System Software. The applicant, project manager and DGNB Auditor must be registered there. If you are not yet registered, you can register yourself directly in the DGNB System Software. Instructions for self-registration, project registration and the DGNB System Software in general can be found here.

Note: If you would like to be officially presented with your DGNB (pre)certificate at this year's Expo Real, please note that you must submit your project by 30 June 2024 at the latest. If you have any questions, please contact zertifizierung@dgnb.de.

You would like to register a project in an earlier version of the DGNB System?

Projects must always be registered on the latest version of the DGNB System. Projects that were pre-certified with an older market version can be registered for certification in the version of the pre-certification. However, we recommend an upgrade to the latest market version. To do so, please contact system@dgnb.de.

Notes on project registration

The project registration via the DGNB System Software is currently available for all schemes as well as construction site. We will expand the software as soon as possible.

Please note the following instructions for project registration (you will also find them during the registration process):

A power of attorney is required if you, as the person responsible for the project, do not work at the applicant's company. For this purpose, please download the Applicant Power of Attorney and send it signed to system@dgnb.de. This is a requirement for completing your project registration.

By registering your project, you confirm that you and the DGNB Auditor fully understand the project's certification requirements.

Are you unsure whether your project is certifiable or which scheme of the DGNB System is best suited? Then you can send us a project-specific enquiry about certifiability.

INDIVIDUAL ENQUIRIES FOR DGNB CERTIFICATION

Register the main project in the DGNB System Software. To complete the registration of all other projects, please fill out this document (in German) and send it to system@dgnb.de.

In order to be able to create and register follow-up projects of a multiple certification, please contact system@dgnb.de. The following data is sufficient for this purpose:

Project number of the basic certificate (in the following format): MNBV18-BZ-EN-001111
Desired project name of the follow-up project

We will copy the correct project template for you and you can then register the project in the usual way.

To register a project with a DGNB-recognised service, please email system@dgnb.de with the following information:

AD number (in the following format): GIB20-AD-EN-001111
Product designation

This information can be found in the requirements specification. The DGNB will copy the correct project template for you and you can then register the project in the usual way.
